Understanding the Role Advantages

This game has 7 distinct roles, each with its own unique abilities and strengths. The Defender is a reliable shield for allies, while the Ranger excels as a backline attacker. Siege is primarily used for attacking bosses, while the Striker is a formidable front-line attacker. The Sniper specializes in long-range attacks, while Supporters provide a range of buffs and support. The Tower serves as a defensive unit.

However, it's important to note that there are only 4 core roles: Defender, Ranger, Striker, and Sniper. These roles are interrelated and form a cycle. Strikers have the upper hand over Rangers, Rangers have the upper hand over Defenders, Defenders have the upper hand over Snipers, and Snipers have the upper hand over Strikers. If you have a clear advantage over an opposing role, you'll receive a 30% boost to your outgoing damage and a 30% reduction in incoming damage.

Be Mindful of Attack Types

In Counterside, there are three different types of attacks: Ground, Air, and All-round. It's important to pay attention to the type of attack your squad and the enemy is using. For example, if the enemy takes out an airborne unit, you'll need to use an Air Attack to effectively counter them. If you issue a Ground Attack, it will be ineffective and result in a wasted effort. Similarly, if the enemy is on the ground, use units with Ground Attack types. However, if the enemy has an All-round Attack unit, it's advantageous to use a squad with this type of attack as it can effectively engage both ground and airborne targets.

Creating the Perfect Squad Composition

One of the most important aspects of battle in Counterside is selecting the right squad composition. To do this effectively, you need to ensure that you have at least one character to fulfil each of the four main roles. This allows you to counter enemies who have weaknesses in their roles. It's also crucial to consider the type of attack for each character in your squad. If your attacks are unbalanced, you may struggle to counter certain enemy types, such as those with aerial movement. Therefore, it's important to ensure that you have characters with the appropriate types of attack in your squad.

Another important factor to consider is the deployment cost of each character. Bringing a character with an expensive deployment cost can make it difficult to replace them during the match as it takes longer to collect deployment resources. We recommend using a squad with an average cost of 3.5 to ensure better deployment flexibility.

Increase the Combat Power

Combat power (CP) is an important part of the Counterside game, because the higher your CP, the easier it will be to complete existing battles or quests. There are many things you can do to increase your CP, such as:

• Salary Negotiation, is very useful for those of you who want to increase the level of your character. If you want to do salary negotiation, it takes some appraisal and credit. Then when you want to negotiate with the unit, there will be 3 offers available. We recommend offering 30% more because the success rate is 60% and you get 50% loyalty, although the credit required is a bit expensive, it's worth the offer.

• Skill Training is to increase the level of your skills, the higher the skill level, the more the effect of the power increases even When you have reached the maximum level (Lv. 5) you will get additional effects. But you must have training data to do skill training.
• Limit Break, is useful for increasing the star of your unit, When you get a star increase through Limit Break, then all your stats will increase as well, sometimes even unlocking the 4th gear slot.
