Coming to the combat mechanics of Higan: Eruthyll, they are not as complex as they might appear to be at the beginning of the game. First of all, the game is extremely easy at the beginning so do not have the idea that in the future, it will remain the same. As you progress, the stats of your enemies will increase accordingly as well to match your own power levels. In Higan: Eruthyll, forming a balanced team is one of the best ways to tackle the early game. Forming a strategy will be the key to victory in Higan: Eruthyll. Let's start with the basics. Each character in the game has a particular element attached to them which dictates their strengths and weaknesses.
Characters that are of stronger element deal more damage to enemies from the weaker element while taking lesser damage from them in return. Hence, having allied with element advantage is great for getting an advantage over your enemies and reducing the difficulty of the stages. Another mechanic called Synergies exists in Higan: Eruthyll. Synergies can be considered as extra abilities or buffs that are applied when different characters of the same element are present in a formation. For example, Encroaching Cold, Dark Mark, Corrosion, etc are some examples of Synergies. Deploying 4 characters of the same element is one of the best-case scenarios while developing a formation.
During the battles, you will notice that some characters will instantly start the battles with their ultimate abilities and you will need to either soak up the damage, cancel their attacks, or simply outsmart them using your formation. Always make sure to see the range of all enemies and carefully place your allies to pit them against each other. Remember that the enemy AI (Artificial Intelligence) will always target the weaker elemental characters first. Try to use your environment to the fullest by using characters that can provide large-scale buffing or healing as more allies will be able to take their benefit. The same advice applies when trying to deal damage to enemies. Try to group them together so that your skills hit more of them and this will in turn increase your overall DPS output.
