Honor of Kings will globally release

Honor of Kings, Tencent's enormously successful mobile MOBA, is getting a global release outside of mainland China, where it has been exclusive for a few years. The misconception derives from the fact that Arena of Valor is the westernized version of Honor of Kings, which has previously been localized.

To be honest, it's still unclear what this signifies. Arena of Valor has been a huge hit around the world and, as far as anyone can tell, bears little resemblance to the original Honor of Kings on which it is based. This also raises some questions, as it's uncertain whether Arena of Valor will be unsupported after the localized Honor of Kings client is released.

As additional information becomes available, hopefully, these explanations will be made. For the time being, all we have is a brief tweet announcing the initiative and the beta sign-ups, which will be published in stages beginning next month. Beyond that, though, we don't have much to go on in terms of Honor of Kings' release outside of China.
Honor of Kings, or Arena of Valor as it's known outside of China, is a hugely popular 5v5 PvP arena battler that draws inspiration from games like League of Legends and Dota 2. Since its release, it has been one of the most successful multiplayer mobile games ever, with a large cast of unique characters and a tremendous audience.
