Team-building Strategy in Reverse: 1999
Reverse: 1999 is a term-base strategy RPG with combat based on a card system. Imagine a world much like our own, but where on one side you have regular humans, while on the other, there are Arcanists: people capable of wielding magic, supernatural beings ranging from mythical figures to objects who developed a conscience of their own, bodyless minds, fantastical creatures and urban legends. It's only natural to expect that factions would form, and that clashes would be constant between them.
This article is designed for those who are confused about the various characters, and not sure who to team up together to prepare for the battles. Let's read together and figure it out!
Classification of Characters
Basically, we can categorized the characters in 1999 into 3 major groups:
Output
- Burst Damage: Lilya, Centurion, Bkornblume, Eagle
- Other DPS: A Knight, Eternity, Regulus, Leilani, etc.
Support
- Control: An-an Lee, Druvis III, Medicine Pocket, Voyager, Sonetto, Bkornblume, Sweetheart, X, Satsuki, Baby blue, Ms. Moissan, Зима, aliEn T, Sputnik, etc.
- Dispeller: X, Charlie, Erick, TTT, John Titor, etc.
- Debuff: Medicine Pocket, Voyager, Baby blue, Bkornblume, Click, Matilda, Tennant, Poltergeist, Twins Sleep, ONiON, Ms. Radio, etc.
- DEF: Ms. NewBabel, Balloon Party, Oliver Fog, Poltergeist, TTT, Sputnik, The Fool, aliEn T, etc.
- Heal: Balloon Party, Dikke, Medicine Pocket, Sotheby, Bunny Bunny, APPLe, La Source, etc.
Function
Characters who possesses both 【Support】and 【Output】functions, they are more comprehensive.
General Team-building Strategy
Basic formula: 【Output】+【Support: buff/debuff】+【Support: heal/DEF】
For example:
- A basic team for beginners: Eagle+Sonetto+La Source+APPLe
- Advanced team: Lilya+Sonneto+La Source+APPLe
The Most-Recommended Team for Novice Stage:
Eagle+Sonetto+APPLe+ Leilani
