Valkyrie Connect Best Beginner Guide 2022
Welcome to Valkyrie Connect! The purpose of this guide is to help new players get off to a good start, provide advice on effective progression, and provide general tips and guidance for the game. As a F2P player, Valkyrie Connect is a resource management game first and an RPG second - you'll need to carefully invest your time, stamina, and other resources in order to maximize your power and rise to the top ranks.
A Strong Start - Building a High ROI Core Team
Your first goal is to start strong. This means getting the most powerful heroes early rather than wasting resources on more niche or situational heroes. The best two ways to do this are 1) reroll during Star Party 2) reroll before Star Party and then accumulate resources for Star Party.
What is a Star party?
So far, the star party is an event held at the end/beginning of the month. Many of the game's best heroes can only be summoned during interstellar parties, and adding them to your team early on is extremely useful, as you can throw resources at them immediately and get a good return on your investment. Many other top heroes are also in Star Party Call, making it the best use of your diamonds.
If an interstellar party is going on, you can start re-rolling immediately. If not, you can wait for it to activate, or roll back now and start stocking up for the next Star Party.
General Advice
Don't invest in 1* weapons/armor. Wenlan sword, 1-star bow, robes, etc., are all used as enchanting fodder for infinitely superior 2- and 3-star weapons. Increase your inventory space if you have it, but don't invest in these items.
- On the other hand, be sure to invest in 1* accessories. You start out with very few trinkets, and generally good trinkets are harder to get than good weapons/armor.
- You want to build a bracelet with 5, 5 stars magic defense. These will be useful to your entire team. Get tanks to 3* and proficient first, then get everyone else out there, then push to 5*, prioritizing survivability.
- You want 2-3 5 star defense rings. These are for your tank, body attack, and possibly the back row for early defense against Momiji.
- You want to have 2-3 5 star physical offense rings. Maybe two. In the case of archers, you'd put them on your main physical attackers and your backline dps.
- You'll want to use the 1 and 2 star reforged rings fairly liberally. 1star more.
- Later, these will be replaced by better accessories, but even so, they may still be of some use to your main team. They will continue to work as you pass them on to your next Arena team.
