Party-based combat in Vendir: Plague of Lies uses a turn-based system to generate engaging tactical conflicts, drawing inspiration from the illustrious heritage of classic RPGs. The player's party will be made up of a cast of interesting people who will enhance the game's plot as much as they do their skills in battle.
These characters will also insert themselves into the talks with NPCs to provide players with a variety of conversational possibilities. This contributes to a narrative that fragments and in which your decisions have an ongoing effect.
The tyrannical King Elrik now commands the once-great realm of Vendir with an iron fist, passing severe judgments and torturous penalties. Two siblings are forced to travel from one muddy end of the Kingdom to the other after learning of an ancient prophecy that predicts the end of Elrik's rule while constantly arousing Elrik's wrath.
