Almost a year ago, Digital Extremes publicly confirmed that a mobile version of Warframe with cross-play and cross-save would be released soon. Every year, Digital Extremes hosts a large event called TennoCon to update attendees about previous and forthcoming events. Digital Extremes officially confirmed during this year's TennoCon that the mobile version of WarFrame is nearly ready for an internal cross-play test.
Players may now add friends and play with them from any platform. Matchmaking will no longer be split by platforms because it will be available on all of them.
Warframe Mobile: Updates on the upcoming internal cross-play test
Warframe was initially released as a PC game in 2013. As time progressed, the game was featured on other systems as well. Digital Extremes provided a brief update on their impending Warframe cross-play test this weekend.
Although the dates of the cross-testing period have not been published, some good news is on the way. The team underwent an unspecified testing phase, which will be broadened to community testing this year as the initial step toward crossplay, cross-save, and mobile.
This year, the game will go through some community testing to strengthen the cross-play mechanics before converting the mobile version of Warframe into a genuine mobile game.
The game's release date and whether it will be a closed beta or a free for all open beta test are yet uncertain. This means that fans will have to wait and be patient in order to play this game on mobile, as several important details concerning the cross-play test remain unknown.
Warframe Mobile version release date
For now, Digital Extremes has only shared a brief update that team is already working on the internal cross-play test and we expect more updates to arrive soon. We will make sure to update this space as more information is shared by the devs.
